Almost all images at EaseBackup can be customized. And you can do that by yourself without our help! To change an image you have to copy your BMP file to the program folder with OEM version of EaseBackup and restart the Software.
All images MUST be in the standard BMP format (.BMP files). Do not send to us any GIF or JPEG files. We need only BMP ones. And test them before sending. Do not edit image files in the program folder of the Software because they will be overwritten on the old ones when you reinstall the Software or install a new version!
Here are images you can edit:
- Splash screen
The splash screen is a bitmap (.BMP) image that is displayed when the client software is run. The bitmap can be any size, but should be within 600 pixels wide by 440 pixels high. KieSoft will review and approve all splash screens prior to adding them to the software. The splash screen must be 256-Colors maximum.
- Product tour panel
You can edit this panel by editing 2 files: full_tour.dat and full_tour0.dat.
Each file is separated on pages by lines like "CAPTION=Title of a page". Each page has an associated image that identified by the line like "IMAGE=image_location". All other text of a page is a simple HTML text. It supports only a very simple HTML formating. So be careful!
You can create your own image for each page. This is a standard BMP file with the same size of following example:
Purple color is a transparent color! Background color of this page is a system color for tooltips. User can change it in the Control Panel. When your image is done, you have to:- Copy the image file in the program folder
- Edit the associated full_tour.dat or crashrec.dat file. For example if you have an image file "welcome.bmp" you have to change a line "IMAGE=IDB_WELCOME_TOUR" to "IMAGE=welcome.bmp"
- Restart the Software.
- Program icon
We need an icon (32x32 pixels) that will replace our own icon. It has to be a standard .ICO or .BMP file (32x32 pixels). If you send a BMP file you have to tell as what color is transparent.
